My Father-in-Law contracted Mut’s Boats in Baton Rouge in the mid 60’s to build this pocket cruiser to be used on the newly flooded Toledo Bend Reservoir Lake. Mut’s Boats main line of business was wooden hydroplane racing boats but my Father-in-Law (owner of Blanchard Travel Sales) was a personal friend and I’m sure Mr. Mut was a customer of my Father-in-Law.
Anyway, the boat was completed and probably made it to the water a few times but the travel trailer business was very good and my Father-in-law didn’t have much play time so the boat remained in a boat shed at Toledo Bend for years. The boat trailer fell apart so when I was forced to move the boat, I bought a trailer and modified it to fit the pocket cruiser.
This boat will need paint, refitting/rewiring and an outboard motor. Most of the original hardware comes with the boat. I pulled the indoor/outdoor carpet because it was getting discolored but is all there for a pattern to easily replace with the color of your choosing. I’m assuming you would also update the color on the boat to something from this century.
The trailer is very nice with a newly replaced Titan hitch, replaced backing plate brakes, and very good tires. The title is a Texas title in my name.
$2000 or best offer (which is a very small amount more than I have in the trailer, new hitch, brakes and tires).
