This is a rare 1939 Gar Wood 18.5 ft Model 950 in wonderful condition. It has always been stored inside and covered. This boat features walk through front seat, upgraded 1950 Six With 93 HP, clock style dash cluster, Klum Ignition & Light switch, Cigerette/Cigar lighter (comes in handy for plugging in a trickle charger), button tufted seat cushions, all orignal chromed brass hardware, and the wonderful fast Gar Wood deep V Hull for smooth riding even in choppy water.
Recent work includes West System No Soak Bottom, 4 new coats of varnish, low engine hours with new water pump impeller, new stuffing in shaft boxes, new battery, new wiring and bilge paint. All gauges work, cig lighter, horn and all lights operational. Original fire ext. included. Cotton boat cover included.
This boat will easily cruse at 30 MPH and has a top speed close to 40 MPH. The nice thing about a Utility is that it can be a flashy parade boat, a family outing boat with lots of walking around space and even a fishing boat with room for your rod and reels. Seats 5 to 7 people and several chairs can be added behind the front seat for additional seating.

Chris Craft boats were nice but Gar Woods were the Cadillac of their time, They were built very sturdy and could take the chop of the bigger lakes extremely well as seen in this video.
This boat comes with a serviceable galvanized trailer, with new tires and functional lights. Trailer has new tag.
